Meditate With Essential Oils

Image
Written by Michele Marchese • Sit quietly in your sacred space. • Select a few oils to anoint your energy centers or symbolic body. • Listen to guided meditation of your choosing. • Open yourself up to the influence of the oils on your aura and energy body. At times shutting out the outside world and meditating has its challenges. If a thought enters your mind accept it and release it.  Find a quiet place, start some meditation music and anoint yourself with aromatherapy oils. Relaxation is just moments away, the aroma of the oils start traveling through your mind, and take you to a place of serenity.  Now walking through a field of wildflowers on a peaceful hike full of butterflies, soft sun glowing on your shoulders. Suddenly drifting off to serenity then suddenly thinking about things that upset you during the day. Bring yourself back by saying breathe in one, breathe out two, do this for a few minutes and soon you will be back in tune with the meditation music. Healing yourse

Journal Your Way To Peace

Image
An Article in Psychology Today published on Sept 5, 2013 by Steven Stosny, Ph.D. states that ‘journaling can have a negative effect on your behavior and well being if it makes you live too much in your head, makes you a passive observer of your life or makes you self-obsessed.  I admit writing in a journal, and not communicating to work out daily issues with family, friends, coworkers and acquaintances can make you not social or involved in life. Suddenly you only want to scribe in your journal, and not communicate with others to solve  problems. I disagree that journaling can cause negative thoughts due to non involvement in life, and leave you drifting off in your own thoughts, that turns into becoming self obsessed. I encourage my clients to journal for their emotional spirit, and to free their soul as some things are better off not said. We don't need all of our deepest thoughts divulged to everyone.  Journaling can be a reflection of what's happening with your psyche, an

Inner Child Healing

o cut the cord and break the chain. I can tell Unlearning what we’ve learned from wounded people is difficult as it becomes ingrained in the soul. If a family is very dysfunctional, physical, and mental abuse can leave scars. Inner Child Healing is a good way to help yourself heal. Many adults that are wounded children suffer from alcoholism, drug addiction, anxiety disorder, and depression. Some may present with issues of control due to abandonment issues. In their adult life work, family, friends, and intimate relationships can suffer. My mother suffered from severe mental illness that was untreated so my brother and I weren’t nurtured in the best atmosphere. Mom was in her bed a lot, many days of depression in a row, sometimes she’d be in her bed crying for weeks, other times she was angry, and sometimes just normal Mom. We had normalcy rarely, and also our parents fought all the time both verbally and physically.     As an adult I cut the cord and broke the chain from my Mom so my

Emotional Me

Image
It’s time to give yourself a break, stop beating yourself up! Own your emotions, after all the reason we have them is to help us deal with what’s going on in our life. Some days it’s like everything seems to fall into place and other days you feel cursed. We all get these damn days and don’t let anyone tell you differently, I’m sorry nobody is that special, we all get days that we are triggered by sadness, madness, or unwell ness.  So what can we do to get through these days, the one thing that I think helps the most is turn it into a “self day”. That’s right just spoil yourself rotten, get your favorite tea, coffee or other comfort beverage, have a spa day, buy yourself that one thing you’ve been wanting, but most of all forgive yourself. Don’t be to hard on yourself, I mean we’ve all had days that we go off on someone unnecessarily or we start balling our eyes out for no reason. Guess what it’s okay, no therapy needed here! Just let it out, release, and forgive.  If you really feel t

Soul Journey

Image
Soul Journey by Michele Marchese So what exactly is a soul journey? The simplest definition would be your journey through life, the day to day grind. The true soul journey is everything that hits you at a core level, something that shakes you and awakes you. Unfortunately as we go through these times in our lives we most often feel broken, sad, and like things will never get better. During these moments is the time that you get to see what you’re actually made of, and a great potential for spiritual awakening. Advice will come from everyone, STOP! The only person that can help you is yourself, here is the recipe for a good soul journey: Journal every thought or draw it. Meditation and Prayer. Exercise. Eat right, and drink plenty of water. Walk, or ride a bike. Use Essential Oils. Consider Flower Essences. Let yourself cry it out. Forgive yourself and forgive others. Scream out loud. Feel the darkness until you see the light, (it’s okay you won’t break).

Honoring Your Spirituality (Soul Fast)

This blog was written by Michele Marchese, this blog contains some affiliate links, these companies are companies that as a Spiritual and Holistic Wellness Coach I feel are good, I do get a small compensation for adding their links. The compensation does not influence my content or topics, it is simply recommending good quality products. I will add an (AFF) to help you identify the links that I can be compensated for, as there may contain in a blog post several that are just for information. Nowadays there is no shortage of advice about spiritual practices, navigating through articles, and information on the internet definitely doesn’t feel spiritual. Best advice to truly identify what is best for yourself is to disconnect from all social media, television, internet, and people. Take a “Soul Fast” for two days. Start each day with a glass of water and lemon, breakfast should be a nutritious smoothie. I recommend Detox Organics to be added as a Super Food, and daily

Gloomy Weather Increasing Depression

By Michele Marchese Seasonal Affective Disorder is hard to deal with, you just don’t feel like doing anything. Overeating, sadness, lack of energy, over sleeping, shutting yourself off from the world. If this sounds familiar, you may have SAD. On sunny days get outside for natural sunlight, 8-20 minutes depending on skin tone. Those that have more melanin will require more exposure time.  Eat fatty fish
