Empath Survival
Physical, and mental healing need to be addressed on a deeper level, prescription medication is not always the answer, sometimes the answer to our feeling of hopelessness, discontent, and depression comes from such a deep level of our mind and soul that we don't know how to address our physical or emotional pain. I know from personal experience that anti-depressants can only do so much. I'm not a doctor nor do I advocate not taking prescribed medications what I'm suggesting is soul searching and working on yourself. I've been working for 12 months now on myself through meditation, hypnotherapy,care of my soul, energy healing, use of flower essences, religion, spirituality, and essential oils. One may think it would be easier just to take a pill, nevertheless, we are responsible for the care of our bodies, and minds. It can be a frustrating path to dive in and take a look at yourself on a deeper level, you may not like the answers you get back. For instance, I really have an issue with self -sorrow, I'm an empath and I feel all emotions and a lot of the thoughts that people think quietly to themselves. At times someone can say something to me and knowing the thought behind it I suddenly am full of their emotions.There is not one medication that will rid me of my gift so I have to keep myself strong, and place a protective bubble around myself. When people talk to us normally we filter the words out because if we didn't communicate it would take most of the day leaving little time for much else in our day. Empaths don't have a filter because not only do they hear what you say they feel what you don't say. Nonetheless,` we all have to filter out a lot of emotions, words.and thoughts. Why should someone else's mood rain on your day? We can't help it all humanity communicates through words or unspoken words. Some of us are highly sensitive to everything, those of us that are must work harder on self- care. Finding inner peace, and alignment is nowadays needed more than ever due to high- stress levels, we don't do anything to disconnect ourselves from each other, even our employer is connected to us 24 hours a day, and that's not okay! It takes self- discipline to turn all electronics off, schedule time for yourself, & really search for the answers that can clear a path to self- healing. Step one is just that finding a little bit of peace in your day.
Meditation takes practice at first everything keeps swirling around in your brain you'll keep having flashes of all the things you need to get done or ponder life issues. Soon with practice you will turn off the world, and be one with yourself after you emerge from this serene place is when you can work on yourself. Think about which thoughts kept interrupting your meditation, that realization is the stepping stone for healing yourself. I discovered many things about myself I'm a meddler, somewhere along the way I decided due to my empathic abilities to know what's wrong with others whether they tell me or not, it was my mission to embed myself into their personal space. Once I started telling myself it's okay let it go you weren't put on this earth to solve everyone's problems, and tell myself not to meddle I became calmer. Turning off my mind from knowing what others are feeling can be hard as then I want to help which in turn is meddling. Bottom line I didn't have their permission to help, I don't belong in their space without permission.
Flower essences help me to shift my mood, ground me, keep me in my boundaries, and distinguish my feelings from others. Hypnotherapy helps me heal myself through imagery and subliminal messages, most of the scripts I use for this are about clearing, grounding, and being centered. In particular, I use a suit of armor for protection as it will be subconsciously available to me in times of need. I always use a calming blend of essential oils during hypnotherapy or meditation. Each oil has its own signature to heal, and many of these remedies and qualities are readily available, nevertheless you have to use what calls to you, if you have an aversion to an oil it's qualities won't matter because you'll resist the effect.
You can't work as a wellness practitioner, and help people heal when you have your own healing to do. Each day is full of new joys, mysteries, and hardships. Just remember you belong within your own thoughts unless asked. Remember empathy are happy in solitude, however, we can greatly benefit others with our healing abilities, we may need to be out of our comfort zone to help.
Empaths have a gift don't be afraid to let your capabilities help others move forward in positive ways.
