Keep On Keepin On

Some of us think we have a lot of stress, yet in truth we have such an insignificant amount compared to others that are less fortunate. Many people live in poverty due to medical illness, people lose jobs they've worked at for years, and can't find other work. Some may have a significant other needing medical treatment and their insurance doesn't cover it. Some may have lost a loved one. Some may be poor living in impoverished areas such as the Kentucky Appalachian area, only a few jobs are available that pay minimum wage. Children in that area are starving.

The next time you feel stressed or depressed about your circumstances, think about it, so many struggle through so much more. We need to truly count the blessings God gives us.

So how do people deal with stress in these situations, most likely over the years they've just learned to "keep on keeping on". Honestly what is their other option? They go through each day believing tomorrow will be better, they don't even let the stress take over their mind. For surely if they did, they wouldn't have the survival skills it takes to get through each day.

People become extremely strong when each day of their life is a struggle. Resilience is in their nature. Next time you feel a little stressed or depressed about what's going on in your life, take time to realize that there are people that have hardship everyday.

Don't over worry, I realize that to you it feels like an awful situation, and yet you'll endure. Just do what you can to help the situation and then move on. Sometimes in life we truly don't have control.

Release the problem to God and pray that it might change. Don't let life's troubles change the beautiful person you are.
