Working With Your Shadow
First thought most of us would have to that statement is "you have no idea what I've gone through". Automatically one thinks they wish they had the easy life their friends, neighbors, or coworkers have. No one lives there life without some type of pain, and granted many have suffered things we could not imagine. All of the past pain we endure make us so much stronger. Forgiveness sets one free to move on, forgiveness is not given to another so they can be released from what they've done to you. Forgiveness lets you move forward. Now that you have this inner strength it's time to move back in time and start working on your shadow so you will have new balance. Learning that it's alright at times to let the darkness out and use it in a constructive way, at the same time illuminating your inner light . I recommend inner child work, go back in time and embrace your inner child. Start from childhood, move forward releasing the past, and illuminating your Divine connection.

"Without the conscious inclusion of the shadow in daily life there cannot be a positive relationship to other people, or to the creative sources in the soul; there cannot be an individual relationship to the Divine’’ (cited in Diamond, p. 109)
