Pain Warrior 

A Pain Warrior is one that has a disease that causes pain in their everyday life. Most warriors have been given several different traditional medicine remedies, and yet many don't work. Doctors are reluctant to write prescriptions for narcotics due to drug dependency. Prescription drugs usually only work temporarily. As years go by living in pain everyday you become a warrior, each day is pain filled. Each day a different challenge. Will you be able to move today? Will you have to cancel the days plans? Will you be able to cope emotionally? Will you be angry and take your pain out on others? 

Others look at you and see you as healthy. If you look good how can you be sick? Being sick means you should show the world dark circles, and bags under your eyes, go out with your unkept hair, and wear yesterday's clothes. At first when you become ill you appear that way for a while and then you realize being part of everyday life is more important, so you mask the reality. 

Many can't work anymore due to the pain and they are labeled lazy by the majority. After all you don't look sick. Apply for disability and your trying to live off others. Not the hard earned money that came out of your paycheck for the last 30- 40 years. 

You'll have many unbearable days. So what can you do to be a Pain Warrior?

Manage your pain with holistic methods:

Meditation, Hypnotherapy, essential oils, flower essences, anti-inflammatory diet, herbal supplements, vitamins, low impact exercise, ( swimming, tai chi, walking), & use of spiritual practices.

Even though you have huge obstacles everyday, despite judgement from others, you are the one who is hardest on "self." It's easy to blame yourself for your illness and depression.
