Is Tretinoin Safe For Under Eye Use?

First the warnings never use during pregnancy, wear sunscreen everyday. The Academy of Dermatology recommends SPF 30 or higher everyday, I recommend SPF 50 when using Tretinoin.
Tretinoin helps reduce signs of aging, exfoliates, reduces acne, sun damage, and sun spots. It helps to rebuild collagen lost due to aging. Tretinoin can be to strong for the delicate skin under the eye, I like RetrinAl Eyes by Avene, and Mineral Tinted Compact by Avene.
Tretinoin can be very drying, the drying and peeling is part of the process. Think of it as a chemical peel. Wash face and wait 20 minutes, use smaller than the size of a pea on your entire face, avoid creases of nose, corners of your mouth, and extreme caution on delicate skin around the eye. When using if you have to much peeling you can use every 2nd to 3rd night. Always apply at night, wash of in the morning, and wear sunscreen during the day.
The eye area is very delicate never apply Tretinoin to that area unless under a Dermatologist care. Below is a link to RetrinAl Eye from Avene Skin Care. This product is formulated for the under eye are.
Remember the results can take 6–12 months for signs of improvement.
