At times shutting out the outside world and meditating has its challenges. If a thought enters your mind accept it and release it. 

Find a quiet place, start some meditation music and anoint yourself with aromatherapy oils. Relaxation is just moments away, the aroma of the oils start traveling through your mind, and take you to a place of serenity.  Now walking through a field of wildflowers on a peaceful hike full of butterflies, soft sun glowing on your shoulders. Suddenly drifting off to serenity then suddenly thinking about things that upset you during the day. Bring yourself back by saying breathe in one, breathe out two, do this for a few minutes and soon you will be back in tune with the meditation music.

Healing yourself through meditative relaxation, has been scientifically proven it reduces physical, as well as mental illness. The biggest challenge in a shared home is practicing meditation in a quiet space. Creating a space even if it is very small will help you to make meditation part of your day, set the mood, and provide comfort. If you live in a small space a meditation pouch can be helpful, fill it with your favorite essential oils, a smudge stick, and a favorite stone, rosary or mala beads.
